The sea of Licata
an experience of a dive into the Mediterranean
The Sea of Licata, in the province of Agrigento, has always attracted visitors, with its 25 km of coastline sheltering evocative beaches, charming coves and unspoilt bays.
The beach of Licata is a paradise of relaxation and fun, overlooking the unique beauty of the Sicilian sea. Much of the Licata coastline is free and easily accessible, with crystal-clear waters in beautiful colours. Among the most appreciated beaches in the area, we recommend the beach of Marianello, the small beach of Torre San Nicola, Baia della Mollarella and Cala Paradiso, renowned among bathers as one of the best beaches near Licata.
Many other beaches can be found along the Licata coast, particularly west of the fishing port: Nicolizia Colonne, Torre di San Nicola, Carrubella-Pisciotto, Foce Gallina and Torre di Gaffe. East of the port are the beaches of Poggio di Guardia, Due Rocche and Falconara. Falconara beach, in particular, is a sandy shore framed by two promontories and overlooked by an important 14th-century castle.
For those wishing to alternate a day of poolside relaxation with wonderful time dedicated to the seascape, Relais Villa Giuliana, in a strategic position for enjoying the sea of Licata, is only 28 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by car and 11 minutes by bicycle from the beautiful Marianello beach.
